Role: Chair of Governors / Co-opted-Parent Governor

Committee: Resources & Partnerships

Link role: Partnerships

Term of office: 01/06/2018-31/05/2022

My day job is as chief executive of the Churches Conservation Trust, the national charity which cares for and opens to the public almost 350 historic churches around England. The charity also runs a wide range of conservation, education, tourism and community projects in its buildings. I’m also on the Council of a European network for the protection of religious heritage and I’m a member of the Department for Environment and Rural Affairs Civil Society network. I was formerly a trustee of a number of UK charities including The Heritage Alliance, Rethink Mental Illness and The Hackney Building Exploratory.

I originally trained as a social worker and previously ran the Revolving Doors Agency, a charity set up to demonstrate new ways of working in mental health, homelessness and criminal justice.
