Tanya is a Consultant and Trainer working in the Arts, specialising in Health and Wellbeing and Social Justice.

Tanya focuses on how the arts and creativity can engage with human rights, active citizenship and promote advocacy and community-based development.

She specialises in access and inclusion, providing pathways in education and training into careers within the Creative Industries.

Tanya has designed and delivered programmes with children and young people:

  • With SEND with Art Matters, Childline, Creativity Explored and National Children's Homes
  • Who are refugee and asylum seekers with Arts Depot and Refugee Council
  • In the youth justice system with Clean Break, Vital Regeneration and Youth Offending Teams
  • Living in hostels through Clean Break, Samaritans and Vital Regeneration
  • In hospital or isolating at home, those who suffer from long-term illness, with Royal Free Hospital School and Great Ormand Street Hospital

Focused on well-being, working with:

  • Frontline staff who identify as Global Majority who worked through the COVID 19 Crisis at University College London Hospital
  • Staff and service users at Wakefield Mental Health Museum
  • People with enduring mental health conditions for Core Arts in Hackney
  • Hackney Lifeline and DAAT team
  • NHS CCG and British Medical Association staff ‘Keeping Well in Hard Times’
  • Health Groups, focused on Recovery and Well-Being

Tanya supported Music Hubs & Services in schools for Sound Connections, Newham Music, Youth Music and Trinity College London. With Sadlers Wells and The Roundhouse on performing arts in schools.

Tanya designed and delivered INSETs for Arts Council England, British Film Institute, City & Hackney NHS CCG, Creative Partnerships, First Story, Hackney Museum, Southbank Centre, Trinity College London, Victoria & Albert Museum.

Tanya has 18 years full qualified teacher status, and has worked with Local Authorities to deliver CPD training with Headteachers, Teachers and Support Staff. She specialised in building Borough Cultural Entitlement Pledges for Young People.
