I have recently retired as the director of an American university study abroad programme in London, but continue as a part-time history lecturer. I became involved with the school in 1991 when my son entered Year 7 from William Patten where I was a parent governor. I was secretary of the PTA for several years and became parent governor in 1992 and chair throughout the Steve Belk years (1993-2000) and the first four years of Mark Emmerson's headship (2000-2004). I chaired the resources committee for nine years. I have been link governor to PE, RE, MFL, humanities, and life skills.
