On Wednesday 31st January, we look forward to seeing all Year 9 parents/carer for parents’ evening. This is followed by a late start for students on Thursday 1st February at 10.55am. This timing supercedes that in an earlier letter. Any subsequent late starts this school year are for a 9.40am start.

On Thursday February 8th at 6.30pm there is a PTA meeting with a focus on involvement in the SNS 35th Gala Dinner. All are welcome to the PTA meeting.

Later that evening (Feb 8th) at 7.30pm there is an hour long session. This is for parents/carers interested in contributing ideas about managing behaviour expectations for your child as they go through teenage years. This is open to all parents/carers but may be particularly useful for those with children in Year 7 and Year 8. The session is run by Ingrid Cleaver, educational therapist and specialist behaviour teacher. Ingrid will begin the session with some input on teenage development. We will also run a second follow up session in March, with the aim of compiling some ideas to circulate further to other parents/carers.

I also encourage you to buy tickets for our Gala dinner. Please do bring friends and family – and encourage any previous students whom you are in touch with to attend. You can buy tickets from https://www.stokenewingtonschool.co.uk/news/alumni-gala-tickets-on-sale-now .

Thank you for your ongoing support for your child/children and our school.

With best wishes,

Annie Gammon
