Community Evening

On the Thursday before Summer half term, we always hold our annual Community Evening. It is one of the best events in the SNS calendar - an evening celebrating the amazing cultural diversity of Stokey.

With dishes made by our wonderful staff and parents/carers, attendees have the opportunity to experiences flavours from around the world. But you have to be quick, because the crowds are large and the glorious food is often gone in the blink of an eye!

We also have incredible activities that promote diversity, cultural awareness and inclusivity through enriching experiences such as capoeira, a drum circle, henna tattooing, a 360 photo booth, a rowing leader board, a languages room, a Karagoz and Hacivat demonstration, a smoothie bike and much more activities hosted from different members of our community and external organisations; everyone collaborates for this really special evening.

Along with the food and cultural activities, the backbone of Community Evening is the amazing music, dance and poetry performances by our students. Their talent wows us every year and their energy and enthusiasm keeps the show going until the very end of the evening. They make all of us at SNS feel very proud to be part of this incredibly diverse and creative community.
