Enrichment

This course is both academic and vocational. There are elements of this course that are assessed through practical competence, and thus we expect our pupils to be taking part in extra-curricular clubs in school and outside in community sport.

Within this course it is a requirement for our sport students to volunteer for the PE department to gain valuable experience. This could take the form of an assistant coach to a school team, or helping our during PE lessons with lower school.

Career pathways

Upon completion of this course pupils can progress on to university and study any sport related degree. We have had pupils go on to the likes of Bath, Exeter, Loughborough and Manchester to continue their studies.

It also enables learners to go out into the world of work, particularly within the sport sector, whether that be as a coach, personal trainer or working within leisure centres.
