Stokey success at the Historical Association Great Debate 2025
Students competed from other academies and sixth forms from four East London boroughs
Three Year 12s took part in the 'Historical Association Great Debate 2025' competition - the topic was the importance of private and public records.
Students competed from other academies and sixth forms from four East London boroughs - there were 20 speakers in total, and all three Stokey students delivered excellent speeches; and one of our students won and will go through to the next heat, before the final!
Ms Preedy, Head of History, said: "I'm immensely proud of our students today - they articulated their arguments really well in a very pressured situation. They were incredible ambassadors for Stoke Newington School and we're looking forward to the next heat!"
